There is a special Captain’s Gala Night Menu which will be served in each of the rotational dining restaurants on your cruise. There will be two Captain’s Welcome Receptions on Formal Night for your Disney Cruise. This is to fit in with the two dinner seatings for the rotational dining restaurants.
This might be for a princess photo session or for dinner on formal night. If it’s not your daughter’s thing, that’s completely fine. If you do decide to have your daughter wear princess attire, you can buy dresses on the ship or bring them from home. In my opinion, some of the most charming princess attire is homemade.

Gone are the days when you would be sent back to your stateroom to change if you were wearing jeans. You will see a huge diversity of outfits in the restaurant. Mostly it is what is popularly known as “cruise casual”. We "dress" for formal night, but don't let how others are decked out color our experience.
